From intensive real-world testing to final production readiness, Closer enters a new phase of evolution

Over the past weeks, the Closer project has continued to move steadily toward full maturity. Thanks to constant development, real-world testing, and close collaboration with professional instructors and rally crews, both our hardware and firmware are now reaching a level of stability and refinement that allows us to confidently prepare for launch.

Firmware Progress: V2 and V1 Fully Aligned

The latest firmware release for Closer V2 introduces an important and highly requested feature: independent brightness control for the upper and lower displays. Users can now selectively emphasize the most critical information at a glance, while also choosing to globally increase or reduce brightness depending on conditions. This allows for better focus, improved readability, and greater adaptability in every driving scenario.

At the same time, we are pleased to confirm that Closer V1 is also receiving this updated firmware, including all functions that have been tested and approved on V2. This ensures that both devices are now fully aligned in terms of functionality and operational philosophy, delivering a consistent experience across the Closer ecosystem.

Continuous Professional Testing in Real Rally Environments

Closer products are constantly used and tested by professional instructors, drivers, and codrviers during the courses of the Vittorio Caneva Rally School. This ongoing, real-world exposure, both from the driver’s and co-driver’s perspective, continues to be a fundamental pillar of our development process, allowing us to validate every feature under true competitive conditions.

Data Integrity and Power Stability: Further Optimized

We have further refined SmartMemory™, ensuring that every data point is always saved, whether the device is shut down intentionally or due to an accidental power loss. Data integrity is now guaranteed in all scenarios.

In parallel, StableFlow™ Power Guard has been subjected to extensive stress testing. The results confirm consistent performance and operational stability, reinforcing the reliability of Closer even under demanding electrical conditions.

Final Test Units and Production Readiness

We are currently completing the final test units, built in their definitive configuration and fully ready for launch. These units feature:

  • Final graphics
  • Final surface finishes
  • Complete hardware and firmware configurations

This marks a crucial milestone as Closer transitions from development to production readiness.

Hardware Designed for Future Expansion

Internal hardware improvements have been introduced to support future network expansion and upcoming accessories already in development. This means that users purchasing Closer today will already own a device that is technically prepared for future innovations within the Closer ecosystem.

A Mature Product, Ready for the Next Step

Thanks to continuous firmware refinements and targeted hardware improvements, we can now confidently state that Closer has reached full product maturity. Stability, reliability, and expandability are no longer goals, they are now integral characteristics of the platform.

More updates will follow as we approach launch.
